Advice on contract management and administration under NEC3 terms, service of notices and agreement of quotations for additional scope and changes in assumptions. Project turnaround from loss making to successful delivery and profit making.

This project was for the replacement of a security intercom system for 40 multi-storey blocks of community housing flats in the Sunderland area in the North East of England. NEC3 Option B contract between the Housing Association (HA) and the Supplier, with a separate Project Management firm acting for the HA.

Objectives

Implementation of the NEC3 Option B required processes, templates and procedures for the Supplier. Correct contractual administration, progress reporting, planning and Early Warning / Compensation Event notices and quotations for the successful installation of equipment and required technology server hardware, cabling and ongoing maintenance and support service.
